Shiela Guo admits she is Chinese citizen Zhang Mier, not Alice Guo's blood relative

Shiela Guo, who was previously thought to be the sister of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, admitted during a Senate hearing on Tuesday that they are not related by blood.

Guo revealed she is actually a Chinese citizen named Zhang Mier who arrived in the Philippines at age 16 or 17 upon orders from her foster father Jian Zhong Guo to work in an embroidery business.

During the same hearing, Shiela confirmed she was born in China and that Jian Zhong Guo is only her foster father in the Philippines while Alice's biological father.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) previously stated that all her Philippine documents, including a birth certificate and passport, were provided by her 'father'.

Shiela also admitted she was told upon arrival in the Philippines that Alice is her sister and lived according to that information.
