Alas Pilipinas wins first game but finishes fourth

Alas Pilipinas secured its first victory but finished in fourth place once again in Leg 2 of the SEA V.League on Sunday, July 20, at Jakarta International Velodrome.

Leo Ordiales and Jade Disquitado led Alas Pilipinas' offensive efforts against both Cambodia and Thailand, despite Buds Buddin's injury during their match against Thailand.

Alas Pilipinas rallied from a third-set loss against Vietnam but ultimately fell short with losses in sets 23-25, 21-25 after winning the first two sets 25-23, 23-25.

The Philippine team now holds a 1-3 record following their opening loss to Indonesia and will begin preparations for the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Manila scheduled for September.

Vietnam secured third place in Leg 2 of the tournament, while Alas Pilipinas remains without a medal from this year’s international tournaments.
