Alas Pilipinas loses to Thailand in AVC Nations Cup

The Alas Pilipinas Men's volleyball team lost to Thailand in straight sets, with scores of 21-25, 20-25, and 18-25, during the AVC Nations Cup classification round on Saturday (Philippine time) in Manama, Bahrain.

Thailand avenged their recent loss to Alas Pilipinas from last week's invitationals in Manila where they won 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, and 15-12.

National University star Buds Buddin led the Philippines with eight points, while Louie Ramirez and Peng Taguibolos contributed six points each.

Marck Espejo, who had been a key scorer for the team, only managed one point in this match.

The Philippines will conclude their tournament on Tuesday against New Zealand to determine their final ranking in the AVC Nations Cup.
