Alas Pilipinas loses to Chinese Taipei, relegated

The Alas Pilipinas Men's volleyball team suffered another defeat against Chinese Taipei, falling 19-25, 25-23, 28-30, 20-25 on Wednesday during the AVC Nations Cup in Bahrain.

With this loss, Alas Pilipinas concluded their preliminary round winless and was relegated to classification matches for the 9th to 11th spots.

Marck Espejo led the team with a game-high 26 points while Leo Ordiales contributed 15 points; Yu-Sheng Chang topped scoring for Chinese Taipei with 24 points.

In a tight third set, Alas Pilipinas reached match point but failed to capitalize as Yu-Sheng Chang and Yu-Chen Chang secured the win for Chinese Taipei.

The eventual winners maintained their lead in the fourth set, establishing a decisive advantage that denied Alas Pilipinas any chance of recovery.
