Alas Pilipinas loses to Korabelka in VTV Cup semis

Alas Pilipinas lost to Russian club Korabelka in four sets during the semifinals of the VTV International Women's Cup in Vietnam on Friday.

Despite a strong second set performance where Alleiah Malaluan kept them alive, Alas Pilipinas struggled in Sets 1 and 3 before falling behind in Set 4.

In the decisive fourth set, Alas Pilipinas rallied from a seven-point deficit but ultimately lost by three points after trailing 22-18.

Korabelka advanced to face either Vietnam or Chinese Taipei for the gold medal match on Saturday, while Alas Pilipinas will compete against the loser of that semifinal for the bronze medal.
