Akari beats Choco Mucho in five sets to lead third-place series

Akari secured a narrow victory over Choco Mucho in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Friday, winning 24-26, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-11 to take a 1-0 lead in their best-of-three series for third place.

Despite falling behind two sets to zero, Akari demonstrated resilience and determination by winning the final three sets.

Game two between Choco Mucho and Akari is now scheduled for Saturday, April 12, at 4 p.m., with a potential deciding game on Monday if necessary.

Meanwhile, Creamline and Petro Gazz will battle it out in Game 3 of their best-of-three finals series on Saturday, April 12, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City for the league championship.

Creamline holds a 1-1 tie with Petro Gazz after winning Game 1 but losing Game 2; the winner will secure either a five-peat feat or a breakthrough All-Filipino crown.
