ADB, DOH eye $125-M project to scale up COVID-19 response

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is in talks with the Department of Health (DOH) to approve a $125-million project aimed at scaling up the Philippines' response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The project includes setting up two new state-of-the-art testing laboratories, training lab technicians, and increasing the supply of testing kits and medical equipment for frontline hospitals.

ADB Country Director Kelly Bird announced during a DOH press briefing that they hope the project will be approved by June.
