Yude secures first win as Adamson Lady Falcons coach

JP Yude secured his first win as coach of the Adamson Lady Falcons in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament on Saturday, February 24.

Yude led the team to a victory over the UP Fighting Maroons with scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 28-26 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Despite facing tough competition from UP’s Oliver Almadro, Yude expressed gratitude for the opportunity to develop his coaching skills and highlighted the importance of hard work and character in overcoming future challenges.

Adamson overcame an early deficit with strong performances from players like Ishie Lalongisip and Mayang Nuique who each contributed 12 points.

The Lady Falcons demonstrated composure during a tense third set, securing their win after successfully challenging a call that prevented the Maroons from tying the game at 27-all.

Yude noted this victory as a confidence booster for his team, emphasizing the need to build their identity and focus on improving with each match.
