Dr Raul Jara dies from COVID-19 while treating patients

Dr. Raul Jara, one of the country's finest cardiologists, died on March 24 after contracting COVID-19 while treating patients.

Jara was celebrated for his dedication to teaching and mentoring in cardiology.

The Philippine Heart Association mourned his passing, describing him as a pillar of Philippine cardiology who spent his life imparting wisdom.

Born into an achiever's family, Jara consistently excelled academically and specialized in cardiology at UP-PGH where he later served as training program chief.
