Nine doctors die from COVID-19

Nine doctors have died due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of Thursday, according to the Philippine Medical Association (PMA).

The PMA president disclosed that ten doctors have succumbed to the virus by Friday.

Many healthcare workers, including doctors and nurses, are yet to be tested for COVID-19.

Lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel is a concern.

Private hospitals in Laguna are prepared to open their facilities if provincial and district hospitals become overwhelmed.
