DOH: C. Visayas 'UK-variant patients' test negative

The Department of Health (DOH) in Central Visayas announced on Friday that all six individuals suspected of having been infected with the UK variant of SARS-CoV-2 have tested negative for Covid-19.

Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, DOH-7 chief pathologist and spokesperson, stated there is no cause for alarm as the region remains safe from the new strain.

The DOH had traced all six passengers from the January 7 Emirates Flight 332 from Dubai who are asymptomatic upon arrival.
