PH Covid-19 recovery rate climbs to 92.5 percent

As of Wednesday, the Philippines' overall tally of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recoveries climbed to 993,042 with 8,961 new recovered cases.

The Department of Health reported a recovery rate of 92.5 percent out of the total confirmed cases.

New infections increased by 5,685, bringing the total number of active cases to 62,713, with about 94.4 percent being mild and 1.02 percent in critical condition.

The death toll rose to 17,800 after recording 178 new deaths.

Manila logged 292 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, raising the city's total tally to 58,909 with 2,408 active cases and 55,387 recoveries.
