OFW from KSA recovers from Delta variant

A returning OFW from Saudi Arabia tested positive for the Delta variant of coronavirus in Quezon City.

The 34-year-old man arrived on June 24 and stayed at a hotel in Makati for 10 days before moving to another hotel in Manila until July 11 when he was declared recovered.

He experienced an itchy throat on June 28, tested positive on June 30, and was allowed to return home on July 11.

Quezon City's Epidemiology and Surveillance Disease Unit (CESU) only learned of the sequenced sample result on Sunday night and arranged for another round of swab tests for him and his family members who are close contacts.
