Stranded OFWs repatriated to Caraga, Bacolod

At least 92 OFWs stranded in Metro Manila due to the coronavirus arrived Sunday evening at the Port of Nasipit in Caraga after complying with all safety protocols.

The group included workers from various cities and provinces within Caraga, with some provided transportation by local government units for their safe return home.

More OFWs are expected to be repatriated to Caraga via other major ports in Mindanao, with 25-30 arriving Tuesday at the Cagayan de Oro Port.

In Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, a separate group of 228 stranded OFWs returned home Monday morning aboard 2GO Group’s St. Therese of Child Jesus, adhering to health protocols including mandatory quarantine in designated facilities.
