PH Navy ships pick up stranded Pinoys in Sri Lanka

The Philippine Navy's BRP Davao del Sur and BRP Ramon Alcaraz made a brief stop in Colombo, Sri Lanka on May 29 to pick up 12 more Filipino tourists and overseas workers stranded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These Filipinos were certified negative for COVID-19 before boarding the Davao del Sur, which already had 19 repatriates from India on board.

The ships will continue their journey home with strict monitoring by a medical team.
