PH youngest COVID-19 patient 9-day-old; 25 infants infected

The youngest coronavirus patient in the Philippines is a 9-day-old baby in Cebu.

As of Thursday, April 30, 25 infants have tested positive for COVID-19, with two fatalities reported.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated there is no evidence of vertical transmission from mother to child.

Two newborns at Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital in Manila also tested positive and are now stable, though one mother's test results are pending.
