DFA: 2,845 Pinoys abroad infected with COVID-19

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported on Friday that the number of Filipinos abroad infected with COVID-19 has risen to 2,845, with 24 new cases.

There are now 947 recoveries and 340 deaths, including six new fatalities in Europe and the Middle East.

Currently, 1,558 patients are undergoing treatment.

The DFA continues to monitor the status of Filipinos abroad and is working to repatriate stranded nationals safely.

As of May 28, over 30,000 Filipinos have returned home amid the health crisis, including 10,403 land-based workers and 20,138 seafarers from 97 cruise ships.
