The provincial government has initiated contact tracing for both confirmed cases.

Prior to the confirmation, Zamboanga del Sur had six patients under investigation (PUI) admitted to the hospital out of 74 total PUIs.

The province also reported 5,002 persons under monitoring (PUMs) as of Sunday, with 923 having completed their 14-day quarantine.
