Easterlies, Amihan bring rains, flash flood risk to parts of PH

Cloudy skies and scattered rains are expected in Eastern Visayas due to the easterlies, with moderate to heavy rainfall posing a risk of flash floods or landslides.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies and rains to Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Quezon.

Specifically, Amihan combined with the shear line will cause moderate to heavy rains in Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Sorsogon.

The rest of Luzon can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the Amihan.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, and Visayas will face strong to gale winds and rough to very rough seas.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are predicted for the remainder of Luzon and Visayas.

Mindanao is expected to have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
