Habagat to bring rains over most of PH

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is expected to bring cloudy skies and rain showers to most parts of the Philippines on Wednesday.

Areas in Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience the effects of the Habagat.

Specific regions like Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Antique are forecasted to have monsoon rains with a risk of flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Caraga, Davao Region, Pangasinan, and other parts of Visayas and Central Luzon will have scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA is monitoring a tropical cyclone located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, situated 610 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales.

This external tropical cyclone has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of up to 70 kph, moving slowly to the east-southeast.
