Shear line to bring rains to Southern Luzon areas

The shear line, or the tail-end of a cold front, is forecast to bring scattered rain showers to Calabarzon and four other areas in Southern Luzon on Sunday.

Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Marinduque, and Romblon are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

There is a possibility of flooding or landslides in these areas due to moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, light rains are expected in Cagayan Valley and parts of Northern Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Metro Manila and other areas in Northern and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

The rest of the country can expect partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms from localized weather systems.

Coastal waters across Luzon, Visayas, and eastern Mindanao will be moderate to rough, with waves potentially reaching up to 4 meters.
