Shear line, ITCZ to bring rains to several PH areas

The shear line and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains to several parts of the Philippines on Thursday.

Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Bohol, Siquijor, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, with a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rainfall.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms brought by the shear line, also posing a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rainfall.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, the rest of CALABARZON, and parts of MIMAROPA will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, which is not expected to have significant impact.

The remaining areas of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
