Shear line, amihan to bring rains across PH

Three weather systems, the shear line, northeast monsoon or 'amihan', and the trough of a low-pressure area (LPA), are expected to bring rains across various parts of the Philippines.

The shear line will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in the Visayas, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, and Dinagat Islands.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera region, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan will experience rain due to the 'amihan'.

The LPA's trough will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and the rest of Mindanao.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the 'amihan'.

PAGASA warned that moderate to heavy or intense rains from the shear line are expected in Eastern Visayas, with possible flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
