Nationwide rains expected due to shear line, amihan, ITCZ

Scattered rain showers are anticipated nationwide due to the combined effects of the shear line, the northeast monsoon, and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), according to PAGASA.

The shear line is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Quezon, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, and the Bicol Region.

The northeast monsoon, or amihan, will bring rain to Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Meanwhile, the ITCZ is forecast to cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms across Mindanao, including Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, and Davao Region.

PAGASA has issued a warning about potential flash floods and landslides due to the moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of the Visayas can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms from localized weather.
