Shear line, amihan to bring rains nationwide

Most of the Philippines will experience rains due to the combined effects of the shear line, easterlies, and amihan, according to PAGASA.

The shear line is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to areas like Bicol Region, Quezon, Laguna, Batangas, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

PAGASA has warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains in these shear line-affected areas.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or 'amihan' will bring cloudy skies with light rains to the Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley.

The Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of CALABARZON will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to amihan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

The public is advised that flash floods or landslides may occur in high-risk areas during severe thunderstorms.
