Shear line, amihan to bring rain to Luzon

The shear line and the northeast monsoon (amihan) are expected to bring varying degrees of rain to Luzon on Thursday.

Southern Luzon, specifically Palawan, Quezon, and the Bicol Region, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought by the shear line, with a risk of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

In Northern Luzon, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao will have cloudy skies with light rains from the northeast monsoon, with no significant impact anticipated.

Metro Manila and the remainder of Luzon can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the northeast monsoon, also with no significant impact.

The rest of the Philippines will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized weather patterns, carrying a risk of flash floods or landslides during severe conditions.

Luzon will have moderate to strong northeasterly winds, leading to moderate to rough coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate easterly to northeasterly winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
