Scattered rains, thunderstorms to hit Visayas, Mindanao, parts of Luzon

Scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over various parts of the Philippines on Tuesday due to the combined effects of the Shear Line, easterlies, and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

The Shear Line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Quezon, and Aurora, with a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

Mindanao's Caraga and Davao regions will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, also facing potential flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rainfall.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and CALABARZON will have cloudy skies with rains from the Northeast Monsoon, with similar risks of flash floods or landslides.

The remaining parts of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the Amihan, which are not expected to have significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao may encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with a possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
