Shear line to bring rains across PH until Feb 12

PAGASA forecasts that the shear line will continue to bring moderate to heavy rains to several parts of the Philippines until February 12.

On Monday, February 10, areas including Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, and Leyte are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains.

By Tuesday, February 11, the rainfall will persist over Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon.

On Wednesday, February 12, moderate to heavy precipitation is forecast for Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.

The weather bureau warned of possible localized flooding, particularly in urbanized, low-lying, and river-adjacent areas, and potential landslides in susceptible regions.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have cloudy skies and rain due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

Scattered rains and thunderstorms may also affect Caraga over the next 24 hours due to the easterlies.
