Several LGUs suspend classes Saturday due to Severe Tropical Storm Opong

Several local government units have declared class suspensions for Saturday, September 27, 2025, due to Severe Tropical Storm Opong.

In Metro Manila, Caloocan City and the City of Manila (shifting to alternative delivery mode) have suspended classes for all levels.

Other Metro Manila areas including Marikina City (no face-to-face classes), Muntinlupa City, and Parañaque City have also announced suspensions.

In Luzon, class suspensions are in effect in Bulacan, Laguna, and Rizal, with specific municipalities implementing alternative delivery modes or no face-to-face classes.

Classes are also suspended in Biliran, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Cavite, Masbate, Negros Oriental, Occidental Mindoro, Pampanga, and Sorsogon, some with suspensions to be lifted later.

The severe tropical storm Opong is now moving away from the country after making several landfalls.
