Region 10 receives 17,400 Sinovac vaccine doses

Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) received 17,400 doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, March 4.

These doses are part of the 600,000 Sinovac vaccines donated by China, which arrived in the Philippines on February 28.

The vaccines were immediately transported to the Department of Health Region 10 storage facility.

According to DOH 10 Assistant Regional Director David Mendoza, the initial supplies are allocated for frontline healthcare workers in the region, prioritizing third-level hospitals.

Frontline workers at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), the region's main COVID-19 referral hospital, are scheduled to begin vaccination on Friday, March 5.
