Sinovac vaccines to reach Region 12 on Friday

The first batch of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccines is set to arrive in Region 12 (Soccsksargen) on Friday morning, March 5, via Cotabato City.

The Department of Health-12 has mobilized immunization program teams from local government units in anticipation of the vaccine's arrival.

Following their arrival, the vaccines will be transported to the DOH-12 regional office's cold storage facility in Cotabato City for inventory.

Distribution to the provinces and cities within Region 12 is scheduled to begin on Saturday.

The exact number of vaccine doses in this initial shipment has not yet been disclosed.

Local government unit officials and the media will witness the formal acceptance of the vaccines to ensure transparency in the rollout process.

Sinovac vaccine doses also arrived in Laguna, Camarines Sur, Misamis Oriental, and Marawi City on Thursday.

Laguna received 400 doses for 324 registered health workers, while Bicol Medical Center in Camarines Sur received 526 doses as part of the 12,000 allocated for the Bicol Region.

Misamis Oriental and Marawi City received 8,700 and 1,200 doses respectively.
