QC gov’t to launch one COVID-19 testing center per district
Quezon City will establish one COVID-19 testing center per district, totaling six centers across the city.
The testing centers for Districts 4, 5, and 6 opened on Monday, April 20, 2020, while those for Districts 1, 2, and 3 are set to launch on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
Each center is expected to conduct 50 tests daily, contributing to the city's goal of 1,800 to 2,000 swab tests weekly.
A partnership with the Philippine Red Cross will provide an additional 1,500 tests this week.
The Quezon City Police District will deploy nurses and medical technicians to assist in contact tracing and form eight teams for house-to-house confirmatory tests.
Mayor Joy Belmonte stated the expansion aims to accommodate and identify more residents who might have COVID-19.
