Cavite begins mass COVID-19 testing with rapid results

Cavite province began mass coronavirus testing on April 14, according to Governor Jonvic Remulla.

The province aims to decrease the spread of the virus through this initiative.

The Department of Health has accredited the laboratory of the Dela Salle State Health Sciences Institute (DLSU-HSI) for testing.

Cavite is utilizing three Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) machines to expedite results, which are now available within 24 to 48 hours.

Residents who test positive will be immediately isolated, and samples will be collected from designated areas, not at the DLSU laboratory.

The cities of Bacoor, Imus, and Dasmariñas were scheduled for testing on the first day.
