PNP patient care center in Camp Crame now operational
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has opened a new 120-bed emergency quarantine facility (EQF) at Camp Crame in Quezon City for police personnel infected with COVID-19.
The newly constructed EQF is equipped with hospital-grade medical equipment and features fully air-conditioned rooms, a nurse station, and sanitation facilities.
PNP chief Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa stated that the facility demonstrates the PNP's commitment to expanding its healthcare system for frontliners and personnel affected by the virus.
The construction of the EQF was a collaborative effort involving the SM Foundation and WTA Architecture and Designs, taking only 10 days to complete.
This initiative follows the PNP's earlier announcement of establishing its own COVID-19 testing center exclusively for police officers.
As of the report, a total of 96 PNP personnel had contracted COVID-19, with three fatalities and 13 recoveries.
Additionally, there were 215 Probable PUIs and 357 Suspected PUIs within the PNP.
