109 PNP personnel test positive for COVID-19

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has reported that 109 of its personnel have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Of the confirmed cases, 17 police officers have recovered, and three have died.

PNP Health Service Director, Brig. Gen. Herminio Tadeo Jr., stated that recent test results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) showed four more confirmed Covid-19 cases, consisting of two females and two males, all assigned in Metro Manila.

Currently, 369 PNP personnel are categorized as probable cases and 375 personnel are classified as suspect cases.

Additionally, 355 personnel tagged as probable cases and 713 personnel classified as suspect cases have completed home quarantine.

The PNP has also received medical supplies and basic health commodities donated by Emdee Chem Marketing Group Corp and PNP Academy Class of 1989 for its health workers.
