PNP confirms 114 COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has confirmed 114 cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among its personnel, with two new cases reported.

The two new cases are males, aged 32 and 29 years old, assigned in the National Capital Region.

The number of fatalities in the PNP has increased to four, following the death of a 48-year-old policeman from Parañaque with an underlying kidney illness.

Currently, there are 92 active cases, with some in quarantine facilities, hospitals, or undergoing home quarantine.

The PNP Health Service is monitoring 369 probable cases and 375 suspect cases.

A total of 1,217 PNP personnel have completed home quarantine under strict monitoring.

Six doctors, nine nurses, and 21 Medical Reserve Force (MRF) personnel will manage the operations of the 132-bed Quarantine facility at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City, which will be operated by the PNP Health Service under the supervision of the DOH and IATF-MEID.
