PN distributes ADB-donated food packs to Parañaque residents

The Philippine Navy distributed 2,034 family food packs donated by the Asian Development Bank to residents of four barangays in Parañaque City.

These food packs are part of a PHP250 million donation from ADB intended to assist poor families in Metro Manila affected by the enhanced community quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Navy's Civil-Military Operations Group, with assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, local officials, and other volunteers, led the distribution.

The spokesperson for the PN stated that the Navy's active participation in endeavors like this is a realization of its mandate of being in the service of the Filipino people, especially during this crisis.

Each food pack contains 10 kilograms of rice, 35 assorted canned goods, and 20 sachets of milk and coffee.
