NGCP distributes P500M in COVID-19 relief goods

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has begun distributing P500 million worth of relief goods as part of its P1 billion pledge to support the national government's COVID-19 response efforts.

The relief packs are intended to assist partner communities during the extended Enhanced Community Quarantine period.

NGCP's assistance to the government was formally pledged through a letter to President Duterte on March 30.

In addition to relief goods, NGCP is also procuring medical equipment for distribution to identified hospitals.

This latest donation is separate from NGCP's previous contributions, which included personal protective equipment, meals, and other equipment for medical frontliners, as well as a program distributing hot meals to the less fortunate.

NGCP emphasized the importance of a collective effort in combating the pandemic and assured stakeholders of its continued support to the government.

NGCP is a privately owned Filipino company responsible for operating and maintaining the country's power grid.
