PH logs 6,846 new COVID-19 cases, active cases down

The Philippines recorded 6,846 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, May 10, 2021, bringing the cumulative total to 1,094,849 infections.

An additional 8,193 patients recovered from the virus, increasing the total recoveries to 1,030,367, which is 92.9 percent of all infections.

There were 90 new deaths, bringing the death toll to 18,562, or 1.67 percent of all infections.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the country decreased to 59,897, or 5.4 percent of all cases.

Nationwide, 61% of ICU beds are utilized, along with 43% of isolation beds, 49% of ward beds, and 40% of ventilators dedicated to COVID-19 patients.

On Monday, 45,370 COVID-19 tests were administered, with 13.9% turning out positive.
