PH logs 2,673 new COVID-19 cases, 73 deaths

The Philippines' COVID-19 case count has risen to 354,338 with the addition of 2,673 new infections reported on Saturday.

The death toll climbed to 6,603 with 73 new fatalities, while total recoveries increased to 295,312 after 539 more patients recovered.

The National Capital Region, Region 4A, and Region 3 reported the highest number of cases in the past 14 days.

Of the 52,423 active cases, 84.7 percent are mild, 11 percent are asymptomatic, 1.5 percent are severe, and 2.9 percent are in critical condition.

The DOH reported that 14 laboratories were unable to submit their data.

The country has tested over 4 million individuals, with 47 percent of ICU beds occupied and 22 percent of mechanical ventilators in use.
