The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,910 new COVID-19 cases as of Oct. 14, bringing the total confirmed cases in the Philippines to 344,713.

Recoveries rose by 579, bringing the total recoveries to 293,860.

The DOH announced that 84.5 percent of active cases are mild, 10.5 percent are asymptomatic, 1.6 percent are severe, and 3.3 percent are in critical condition.

The majority of the newly announced cases are from the National Capital Region (NCR) with 624, followed by Cavite with 219, Batangas with 104, Rizal with 91, and Negros Occidental with 63 infections.

As of Tuesday, a total of 3,976,980 tests have been conducted nationwide by 112 licensed RT-PCR laboratories and 35 licensed GeneXpert laboratories.

The DOH has a total bed capacity of 20,700 dedicated to COVID-19 patients.
