Pagasa: Scattered rain, thunderstorms expected nationwide due to habagat

Scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are anticipated across the Philippines on Sunday due to the southwest monsoon, according to Pagasa.

The southwest monsoon (habagat) is currently affecting the western parts of Northern and Central Luzon, bringing isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the monsoon.

Easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms in affected areas.

Tropical Storm Tapah, formerly Lannie, was last estimated to be located at 640 km west of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and is not expected to impact the country.
