PAGASA: Cloudy skies, rain expected in several PH areas due to easterlies

Cloudy skies and rain are expected in several areas of the Philippines on Sunday afternoon due to the easterlies, according to PAGASA.

These areas include Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, which may cause flash floods or landslides.

PAGASA continues to monitor Tropical Storm Tapah, formerly Lannie, which is located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

At 2 p.m., Tapah was observed 715 kilometers west of Laoag City, moving northwestward at 15 km/h, with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h and gustiness of up to 105 km/h.

The western section of Northern Luzon will experience moderate wind and coastal water conditions, while the rest of the country will have slight to moderate conditions.
