Nine Filipino sailors held hostage by Houthi rebels aboard the M/V Eternity C for over five months have arrived in Manila.
The seafarers landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on Thursday evening.
They were met by DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac and Philippine Ambassador to Oman Raul Hernandez in Muscat, Oman, prior to their arrival in Manila.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. thanked the Sultanate of Oman for their assistance in the repatriation of the nine seafarers.
The sailors reported that they were treated properly by the rebels.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) was acknowledged for helping secure the sailors' travel documents after their vessel sank.
