Shear line, amihan to bring rains over Luzon on Nazareno feast

Cloudy skies and rains are expected over Luzon on the Feast Day of Jesus Nazareno due to the combined effects of the shear line and the northeast monsoon (amihan).

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and the Visayas, with a risk of flash floods or landslides.

Northern and Central Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon, also posing a risk of flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the northeast monsoon, which are not expected to have significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized weather patterns.

Moderate to strong northeasterly winds are forecast for the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, with corresponding moderate to rough coastal waters.
