LPA's trough may bring scattered rain showers over Eastern Visayas, parts of Mindanao

The trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA), along with the shear line, may bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, and Davao Oriental within 24 hours.

The LPA itself has already left the country's area of responsibility on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 7.

Residents in affected areas are advised to remain vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides, especially during moderate to heavy rains.

The northeast monsoon, or 'amihan,' may also continue to bring light rains over Aurora, northern Quezon including Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light monsoon rains.

The rest of Mindanao may experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
