LPA enters PAR, may bring rains to Visayas, Mindanao

A low pressure area (LPA) east of Davao City has entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

The LPA is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone.

It is forecast to move close to the Visayas and Mindanao islands before dissipating within 24 hours.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and Bohol may experience rainy conditions.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Aurora, and northern Quezon will also have light rains due to the amihan.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas are expected to have fair weather.

PAGASA warned of risks in the seaboards of northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao due to big waves caused by the amihan.
