LPA, Amihan to bring rains across PH

A low-pressure area (LPA) and the northeast monsoon (Amihan) are expected to bring rain to various parts of the Philippines on Saturday.

The LPA, located 970 kilometers east of the Visayas, will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Mindanao's Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, Davao Region, and southern Palawan, with a risk of flash floods or landslides.

The Amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains to Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and northern Quezon, including Polillo Island.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

The rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, and a possibility of flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

Coastal waters in Luzon, Visayas, and eastern Mindanao are predicted to have moderate to strong winds.
