LPA, habagat to bring rains nationwide

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers across most parts of the country.

The LPA, located 310 kilometers east northeast of Davao City, could potentially develop into a tropical cyclone in the coming days, according to PAGASA.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA.

The Southwest Monsoon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Palawan.

Metro Manila, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro may experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Areas experiencing moderate to heavy rains and severe thunderstorms are at risk of flash floods or landslides.

The rest of the country can expect isolated rain showers, likely in the afternoon or evening, due to localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong southwesterly to southeasterly winds are anticipated in the western sections of Luzon and Visayas, resulting in moderate to rough seas.
