Libagon, Southern Leyte has lifted its enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) after three days.
The ECQ was imposed on June 13 after three residents, including two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and a locally stranded individual (LSI), tested positive for COVID-19.
Mayor Sabina Ranque stated the ECQ allowed the local response team to trace contacts of the positive cases.
Contact tracing has been completed, and those identified as having contact with the patients have undergone confirmatory testing and are now isolated.
The local government will now follow directives from the provincial government of Southern Leyte regarding future quarantine measures.
Eastern Visayas has a total of 205 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
